c. 1950-1970 Circle of Donald Colflesh American Hammered Sterling Silver and Ebony Footed Modernist Bowl - Heavy (250 g)

This bowl is handwrought in the 20th century in an atomic / MCM style. The piece is hand hammered with its sharp ebony feet fitted in silver collars and riveted. The piece would have then been planished and then had the feet applied after hand polishing and burnishing to a matte finish. Condition is outstanding. Maker is not known to me and bowl is stamped only: "STERLING". Reminiscent of Donald Colflesh, Spratling, and others.
