Marcin Zaremski Sterling Silver Modernist Brooch or Pin (19 g)

$600.00
An incredibly bold sterling silver brooch by the talented Marcin Zaremski of Warsaw. This brooch is a technical accomplishment being assembled seamlessly from sheet silver (in other words, it's hollow). Executing this with invisible seams on a curved surface is quite challenging. Closes with a trombone clasp. Condition is excellent, seemingly very beloved piece. Marcin Zaremski studied at the academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1969-1974) – faculty of design. His parents, Jadwiga and Jerzy Zaremski, were the forerunners and the creators of the Polish modern jewellery art. Marcin Zaremski wanted to exist in certain detachment from his parents’ success and created the Polish haute couture in the jewellery sector. Marcin Zaremski has taken part in over 100 art exhibitions (collective and individual) in Poland and abroad. Since 1989 he has been managing his workshop in which he realises his jewellery projects and designs. The shop he ran is now permanently closed. 19 grams 5.5" in length Condition is excellent and looks barely worn. Clasp works well. Great gift for an adoring wife or girlfriend, but really could be unisex.
