Offered for sale here is an antique Chinese Qing Dynasty (19th century) nephrite prayer wheel with bat and peach motif. The stone has a nice overall depth of celadon green that is quite uniform. The combination of the bat 蝠 and the peach 桃 in art represents a wish for good fortune, happiness, and a long and prosperous life. The word for bat, "fu" (蝠), sounds similar to the word for happiness or good fortune, and the peach symbolizes longevity. Together, they create a visual and symbolic representation of the wish for a long and happy life filled with good fortune. Tests with SG test as nephrite and has been verified by a third party expert. Spins well and no damage. Great piece for the pocket.
